Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WS) appears on today's DemocracyNow! for a fairly wide-ranging in-studio conversation with Amy Goodman. Feingold, having sat on the Senate judiciary committee during the dark days of the Bush/Cheney regime, has an interesting vantage point wrt any discussion re regaining our lost civil liberties and the current struggle to reclaim our corporate-run "democracy."

I think it's a fantastic idea, and I hope (there's that word again...) that we are hugely successful mounting an "Elizabeth Warren-style" draft campaign to urge the common-sense Democrat-with-a-backbone Miller to sign on!

The choice of Bill Daley is no way for Pres. Obama to repair the damage he's done to the progressive base of the Democratic party in his first two years. I could not agree more - 200% - with Sam Seder and his take on the appointment of Daley as the president's Chief of Staff.
