I post, you guess
Most of North Carolina's Puppet pundits have mastered the art of red herring. They righteously serve up fringe arguments that can be easily rebutted, and then proceed to do just that. But there is one among the marionettes who deserves special scorn for his unique blend of misdirection and petulance. See if you can guess who wrote this.
It's too bad more women aren't praising Palin's record of achievement. She has succeeded in the male-dominated arenas of athletics and politics, as well as in areas where femininity rules -- beauty pageants and motherhood. I doubt the pregnancy of their 17-year-old unmarried daughter was part of the Palin family plan, but having Bristol come to her parents with news of the baby, and her decision to marry the father, are testimony to the effectiveness of Sarah and Todd's parenting.
Palin's record of achievement? I'd say the aerial huntress is getting more credit than she's due. But of course, she does have god on her side, so that's something. And of course, her "daughter's decision" to marry the father comes just in the nick of time to coincide with Palin's coronation as Miss Congeniality in the Republican National Convention. If the kid really made that choice, why didn't it happen five months ago when she got pregnant instead of getting announced the day after mommy jumped in John McCain's pocket?
"I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that," she said.
I still don't understand why O-No! keeps this clown around.

My Guess
I can tell you this much about whose quote that is, it's a man.
A man?
Yep. A manly man, indeed.
Good job, janeybell!

Palin the hypocrisy mom
I have a post on DailyKos. I'll crosspost here Friday after we get our intertubes fixed:
Palin Used Town Resources in Lt Gov Race
her decision to marry the
It really just doesn't. Any parent who encourages his or her daughter to marry at age 17 is an awful parent. Marriage is supposed to be, if not forever, for at least a long time. Teenage relationships, practically without exception, are fleeting and ought to be so. After all, teenagers are supposed to be exploring the world and defining themselves. Anyone who doesn't know themselves can't know someone else well enough to want to marry him/her. Bristol Palin will regret her marriage within the next few years, I'm sure. Will it speak to the effectiveness of Sarah and Todd's parenting when Bristol Palin is stuck in a bad marriage from which she is forbidden from getting a divorce because its against her religion/culture?
(Ftr, I'm 18, so I know my stuff regarding teenage relationships. I certainly haven't known anyone I've dated well enough to want to marry her.)
Excellent point
I'm sure Bristol was quite nearly ordered by her god-fearing parents to marry the irresponsible boy who impregnated their daughter. And no doubt, it will be a touching moment tonight when Palin introduces the groom in this shotgun wedding.
Why didn't they marry five months ago, when she got pregnant? Perhaps because there wasn't a prime time opportunity to exploit for personal advantage.
In the world of Sarah Palin, nothing matters but Sarah Palin.
Thanks for the comment.

Not at all surprising coming from an 18 year old, but certainly supports your analysis of teenage relationships.
John Hood is my guess
Have you ever heard of a liberal shooting up a church?
The reason why Rick doesn't understand
why more women don't praise Palin for winning a beauty pageant is because Rick is a bonehead. Why don't you ask Donna if she is impressed by Palin winning a beauty contest, Rick? She'd probably say the same thing most women reading this would say: "Whatever."
Or, you could save yourself the embarassment and read what your wife wrote two years ago:
Sorry, James. I'd rather have a wisdom tooth pulled than link to the Puppetshow, but sometimes it's just too much fun to miss. ;)
