I wish Joe Hackney would run for governor

I don't know what's going to happen this year, but there's at least a small chance that Mooneyham is right.

The latest events may well portend a period in which Republicans control more of the levers of political power in North Carolina. Perhaps that period will last a few years. Perhaps it will last a few decades.
