Local boy makes good!

Phillip Gilfus hit the N&O with a splash yesterday in this story by Rob Christensen. Sorry I missed this, but I do tend to gloss over Christensen's byline. All the same, it's a good article.
Gilfus has long been a Democrat, interning with two Democratic state senators in the legislature when he was younger. An Episcopalian, Gilfus said his religious beliefs influenced his political choices.
"That is why I am a Democrat," Gilfus said. "The Gospel does teach us about caring for our fellow man."

Congratulations Phillip!
That's a great piece. I'm really proud of you and know you'll do an awesome job.
I had hoped to post about it this morning, but had to get my car inspected, new headlight and buy school supplies for the girls....as well as deal with shopping for spare laptop and camera batteries prior to leaving Saturday. I'm swamped.

Robin Hayes lied, Robin Hayes cried and thousands of folks lost th
County parties...
So what is the state of everyone's county and/or district party organization? If things are going great, let's hear it! If you have challenges to overcome, let us know so we can help. If you need to reevaluate your organizations for elections next year, now is the time to start thinking about it.
If you don't want to name names on a public forum, please feel free to send me a private message. I would love to visit the different counties/districts to help evaluate/support/give a should to cry on about improving our party organizations.
Thanks!!

DNC Member-Elect (NC),
