We were there because Jim supports HKonJ. He supports the People's Agenda, written by and for the people of the state he would represent. Unlike Elizabeth Dole, who supports the people of... the Watergate? That's where she spends all of her time, anyway.

When what we want to do is not the same thing as what puts food on the table, gas in the car, and a roof over head.

One of the many reasons I really like this guy - a good friend of mine's boyfriend has purple hair (this week) and a pierced eyebrow. Jim walked right up and shook their hands, didn't bat an eye.

It's weird; having a brother who worked on so many Presidential campaigns gave me a skewed view of how these things are equipped and financed, I think. Every morning, I walk into our HQ and expect the Tech Fairy to have arrived and deposited computers, printers, and the like for us.

What's the sound of a campaign headquarters that's up and running?
